An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced
Regional Manager / Operations Manager
to join a growing Australian-owned services business and take responsibility for a major portfolio of retail and commercial cleaning operations.
This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll be responsible for ensuring operational excellence across multiple sites, while leading a large workforce and maintaining strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders.
The opportunity Reporting to the Head of Cleaning, you will lead the operational, commercial and people performance of an allocated portfolio of cleaning sites.
Leading cleaning operations across multiple geographically dispersed sites
Managing Cleaning Managers, Supervisors and site-based teams
Ensuring contractual obligations, service standards and client expectations are consistently achieved
Building strong relationships with clients and centre management
Acting as the key operational escalation point for your portfolio
Managing labour costs, overtime, consumables, equipment and operational expenditure
Monitoring site performance against budgets and implementing productivity improvements
Conducting regular site inspections, audits and operational reviews
Managing WHS, incidents, risk and compliance
Addressing workforce performance, attendance and conduct matters
Supporting recruitment, onboarding, training and workforce planning




Identifying and managing contract variations and additional service opportunities
Supporting contract renewals, tenders and business growth initiatives.
About you We're looking for an experienced operational leader who has worked within
cleaning, facilities management, contract services or a similar labour-intensive setting
.
You'll ideally have:
Significant experience in a senior cleaning, facilities or operations management role
Experience managing
multiple sites and geographically dispersed teams
Experience leading large workforces and managing performance, attendance and conduct
Strong client and stakeholder management capability
Experience managing budgets, labour costs and operational performance
Strong understanding of WHS, risk and compliance
Experience managing contractual requirements and service standards
A track record of improving operational performance and productivity
Strong commercial and financial acumen
A current driver's licence.
Experience within
retail, shopping centres, commercial cleaning or facilities management
would be highly regarded, as would exposure to Enterprise Agreements, Modern Awards, workforce management systems and contract mobilisation/tender processes.
