As a
Business Analys
t within the
Single Digital Patient Record Implementation Authority
, you will work with operational, clinical, technical and program stakeholders to understand business needs, analyse current processes and translate complex requirements into practical digital solutions.
You will support the end-to-end management of requests for new and changed system functionality-from initial submission and analysis through to requirements definition, testing and implementation.
Your work will help ensure that changes are well understood, appropriately prioritised and delivered to the required quality standards.
In this role, you will:
Analyse
existing business processes, systems, applications and services to identify issues, risks and opportunities for improvement.
Elicit and documen
t business requirements using a range of stakeholder-engagement and analysis techniques.
Support
the receipt, review, assessment, prioritisation and progression of requests for new or changed digital functionality.
Translate
operational and business needs into clear functional requirements, process maps, user stories, acceptance criteria and supporting documentation.
Undertake
qualitative and quantitative research to identify trends, inform priorities and support evidence-based recommendations.
Partner




with users, technical teams and program stakeholders to investigate issues and develop practical, customer-focused solutions.
Provide
accurate advice on business processes, system functionality and potential solutions.
Support
system and user-acceptance testing, including test preparation, defect identification and validation of delivered solutions.
Maintain
accurate records within service-management and project systems, ensuring requests and actions can be effectively tracked and reported.
Contribute
to the continuous improvement of business-analysis practices, change-request processes and program outcomes.

About You
We are looking for someone with:
Relevant tertiary qualifications
in business analysis, information technology, digital health, health administration, information management or a related discipline, and/or equivalent demonstrated experience.
Demonstrated
experience reviewing and analysing business processes and services within a large and complex organisation.
Experience
eliciting, analysing, documenting and validating business and system requirements.
Experience
working with service-management systems and supporting requests for new or changed functionality.
Experience
supporting system testing, defect management and the delivery of project outcomes within agreed timeframes and quality standards.
Demonstrated
ability to undertake research and analyse qualitative and quantitative information to identify trends and make evidence-based recommendations.
Strong problem-solving skills,
with the ability to identify the underlying causes of issues and develop practical solutions.
Robust written and verbal communication skills
,



including the ability to clearly explain complex processes and technical concepts to different audiences.
Demonstrated
ability to establish collaborative relationships with users, customers, technical teams and program stakeholders.
Strong organisational skills
and the ability to balance competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Experience within NSW Health, digital health, electronic medical records, Patient Administration Systems, Epic or another large-scale technology implementation will be highly regarded.

Important information
This role may require evening, night, weekend and/or shift work, in accordance with operational needs and Award provisions.
This recruitment may be used to establish a Talent Pool for similar roles (ongoing or temporary) that may arise over the next 18 months.
To be eligible for this role you must have current Australian work rights (Australian citizen, permanent resident, New Zealand citizen with a current passport, or hold a valid visa with permission to work in Australia).
Successful candidates may be required to complete multiple virtual Epic training sessions and Epic orientation, all scheduled in U.S. time.
