The Role




Reporting directly to the Tax & Business Services Partner, you will lead, mentor and support a small team of accounting professionals, while taking responsibility for your own portfolio of clients. Your role will encompass a combination of technical accounting, tax, client management, team leadership and advisory work, including:
Managing client relationships throughout the compliance process
Preparing and reviewing financial statements and tax returns across all entity types
Reviewing work prepared by the team and providing technical guidance
Managing, mentoring and developing team members
Overseeing workflow and ensuring deadlines are achieved
Providing business and tax advisory services to clients
Identifying business development opportunities
Assisting the Partner with the strategic direction and growth of the practice
Undertaking complex compliance and project work as required
About You
You may currently be a Senior Accountant, Supervisor or Manager within a Big Four, mid-tier or larger accounting practice and be ready for a change.
You will be looking for an environment where you can step away from the corporate structure and have greater ownership, flexibility and influence.
Ideally, you will have:
Several years' experience in Australian public practice




CA or CPA qualification
Strong Tax & Business Services experience
Experience managing and reviewing accounting work
Confidence dealing directly with clients
The ability to lead, mentor and develop junior accountants
Strong technical and communication skills
A commercial mindset and genuine interest in building long-term client relationships
