Commercial Acquisition & Operations Lead
This is a hands-on commercial role focused on new business acquisition and operational improvement. You'll identify and convert new opportunities, build strong client relationships and help grow the value of our existing partnerships, while also looking for smarter ways to improve our systems, processes and workflows.
We're looking for someone who is commercially driven, confident and proactive. Someone who can spot an opportunity, build relationships, turn conversations into profitable work and bring practical ideas to the table. You'll also help us stay ahead by identifying opportunities to improve efficiency through technology, automation and emerging technological advancements.
An understanding of Indigenous Procurement Policy (IPP) and First Nations engagement is important in this role. You'll be confident identifying opportunities created through Indigenous procurement commitments, RAPs and First Nations participation strategies, while understanding that genuine engagement goes beyond meeting targets. It's about building strong relationships, respecting cultural considerations and creating meaningful commercial and community outcomes.
Key responsibilities
Identify and convert new business and client opportunities.
Build strong relationships with existing clients, prospects and partners.
Manage the sales pipeline, proposals, tenders and follow-ups.
Drive strategic positioning and business improvement through smarter processes, systems and technological advancements, including automation.
Work closely with the Director on business priorities and decisions.
Act as 2IC and provide leadership and direction to the team.
Oversee workflow, resourcing, deadlines and client commitments.
Improve systems, processes and ways of working.
Help keep the business running smoothly, efficiently and positively.




Occasional interstate travel for client meetings, events and business opportunities.
About you
Confident, commercially minded and organised.
Experience across sales, business development, operations or business management.
Proven track record in sales and business growth.
Ability to identify opportunities, build strong relationships and convert them into profitable outcomes.
Natural relationship builder, comfortable leading people.
Good at juggling priorities and taking ownership to get things done.
