Key Responsibilities:
Application Development: Develop and implement software solutions based on business requirements and technical function description documents with detailed analysis, technical design, complex code changes, unit testing the changes, creating release artefacts
Develop and implement enhancements and bug fixes for Austraclear applications. Uplift functionality flagged by security scans to comply with enterprise policy.
Contribute to the health of the code base by conducting effective code and process reviews Provide and maintain housekeeping technical documentation Drive continuous modernisation through incremental software improvements Develop operational and system support tools including technical documentation to enable effective maintenance and support of applications
3rd Line Support: Provide 3rd-line support,
both intra-day and after hours, including complex incident investigation and root cause analysis to internal and external users. Work closely with 1st and 2nd line support teams/vendors to resolve production issues and reduce incidents. Provide software analysis to support business decision making
Skills and Experience
Must have: 10+ year experience working in a full stack .Net software engineer/application engineer role within an enterprise environment
4+ year experience writing SQL queries and PL/SQL Stored Procedures in Oracle, or 5+ years working with similar RDBMS
Experience integrating .Net systems with ForgeRock IAM and Apache Kafka
Strong software analysis and problem-solving skills
Experience working with Syncfusion or other third party .Net User Controls
Experience with Active Reports
Working knowledge of SWIFT messaging protocols (SWIFT ISO***** and ISO*****)
Experience liaising with multiple teams to achieve outcomes
Experience providing third level support to software systems within broader incident management team
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and switch between concurrent work streams
Proficiency with GitLab and Git
Working knowledge of Microsoft Operating systems and how it impacts software systems (cybersecurity restrictions, group policies, elevated privileges, M365 tools)
Proficiency with V-model/hybrid agile delivery model
Experience using Atlassian tools including but not restricted to Jira/Confluence/Stash
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work with internal and external stakeholders.
Experience with DevOps and Continuous Integration tools (GITLAB, Nexus, SonarQube)
Experience with Wix deployment
Experience developing .Net systems in AWS
Industry experience in Clearing House/Stock Exchange/Investment Banking
Experience with Microsoft C++
Knowledge and experience with cloud concepts such as Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), and Software as a Service (SaaS)
BSc or MSc in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent background
