We're seeking a
Support Coordinator
to join our
WA Rent Relief Program
in
Canning Vale
, helping people experiencing housing stress maintain their tenancies and avoid homelessness.
Delivered in partnership with Anglicare WA, the WA Rent Relief Program provides practical support to individuals and families facing financial hardship and rising rental costs.
As a Support Coordinator, you'll work alongside clients to identify solutions, access financial assistance, navigate challenges, and connect with the services and supports they need to remain safely housed. Through person-centred case management, tenancy support and advocacy, you'll help people build stability, independence and positive long-term outcomes.
This is a varied and rewarding role where you'll collaborate with clients, landlords, community partners and support services to deliver practical solutions and create meaningful change in people's lives.
This is a
full-time maximum-term contract until 30 June ****

38 hours per week,



Monday to Friday
, based in
Canning Vale
.
Key Responsibilities
Provide case management and support to people experiencing housing stress and financial hardship
Conduct assessments and develop strengths-based support plans
Advocate for clients and connect them with housing, financial and community supports
Deliver tenancy support to help sustain private rental arrangements
Build positive relationships with landlords, property managers and partner agencies
Maintain accurate client records, case notes and reports
Contribute to service quality, stakeholder engagement and continuous improvement activities
What We're Looking For
The successful applicant will demonstrate:
Experience in case management, tenancy support, housing services or community services
Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to engage effectively with people from diverse backgrounds
Excellent communication, report writing and record-keeping skills
The ability to work collaboratively with clients and stakeholders to achieve meaningful outcomes
Sound judgement, resilience and a person-centred approach to service delivery
Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office and client management systems
An understanding of the challenges associated with homelessness and housing instability
A commitment to Ruah's values of Respect,

Desirable
Qualification in Community Services, Social Work, Psychology, Counselling, Mental Health or a related field
Knowledge of diversity, social inclusion and culturally responsive practice
Experience supporting people experiencing housing and financial stress
