Job Description
We are seeking experienced Workshop Boilermakers to join the team at DGH. Based in Townsville, Queensland, this role offers the flexibility of casual work whilst providing the opportunity to contribute to high-quality boilermaking and welding projects., As a Workshop Boilermaker, you will play a crucial role in fabricating, assembling, and repairing boilers, pressure vessels, and other metal structures to precise specifications. Your expertise will be essential in maintaining our reputation for delivering excellence in the trades and services industry.
Fabricate and assemble boilers, pressure vessels, and metal structures according to technical drawings and specifications
Perform welding operations using various techniques to ensure structural integrity and quality standards
Conduct measurements and mark materials to prepare them for cutting and shaping
Operate machine tools such as presses, shears, and bending machines to shape and form metal components
Inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality standards and regulatory requirements
Maintain and troubleshoot workshop equipment to minimise downtime
Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet project deadlines
Follow all workplace health and safety protocols and procedures

About the Candidate
Current qualifications in boilermaking or welding, with recognised trade credentials or equivalent experience
Demonstrated experience in fabricating and assembling boilers, pressure vessels, or similar metal structures
Proficiency in welding techniques including MIG, TIG, and stick welding
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately
Experience operating workshop machinery and hand tools safely and effectively
Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high quality standards
Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
A valid driver's licence and willingness to travel if required for work
Current First Aid certification or willingness to obtain it
Compliance with all relevant workplace health and safety regulations
