About The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity is available for a Registered Nurse - Theatre to join our dedicated team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced theatre nurse or a nurse looking to further develop their skills within a supportive and dynamic environment. Our theatre team works across a range of surgical specialties and is committed to delivering safe, high-quality care throughout the perioperative journey. You'll be part of a collaborative multidisciplinary team where teamwork, respect and continuous learning are highly valued. We foster a positive workplace culture where staff are supported to grow professionally and contribute to ongoing improvements in patient care. You will receive a comprehensive orientation program, supernumerary shifts and ongoing support from experienced Nurse Unit Managers, Clinical Nurse Educators and senior perioperative nurses. What You Will Be Doing As a Registered Nurse – Theatre, you will provide evidence-based perioperative nursing care across the operating theatre environment. Your Responsibilities May Include Working in Instrument/Circulating roles across a variety of surgical specialties.Preparing and maintaining a safe and sterile operating theatre workplace.Assisting surgeons, anaesthetists and the wider perioperative team during procedures.Monitoring patients throughout the perioperative phase and responding appropriately to changes in condition.Ensuring accurate clinical documentation and adherence to infection prevention and control standards.Participating in quality improvement activities and ongoing career development.Supporting and mentoring junior staff and students where appropriate.
About You
We're seeking a motivated and patient-focused Registered Nurse who thrives in a team environment and is committed to delivering high standards of perioperative care. Our Ideal Candidate Will Demonstrate Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.Demonstrated experience in a perioperative setting, including Instrument/Circulating practice.Strong knowledge of aseptic technique and infection control principles.Excellent communication and teamwork skills.The ability to remain calm and organised in a fast-paced clinical environment.A proactive approach to learning and professional development.Commitment to patient safety, quality care and continuous improvement.
