Job Description
We are hiring experienced
Metal Sheet Fabricators / Metal Fabricators
for a reputed engineering company in Australia. The ideal candidate should have strong workshop fabrication experience, expertise in MIG welding, and the ability to interpret engineering drawings and fabricate high-quality metal components.
Key Responsibilities
Interpret engineering blueprints and technical drawings for fabrication work.
Measure, mark, cut, bend, and shape metal sheets and steel components accurately.
Operate fabrication equipment such as rollers, drill presses, flame cutters, shears, and other workshop machinery.
Perform welding using SMAW, MMA, MIG, and TIG processes.
Carry out grinding, polishing, finishing, and surface preparation.
Fabricate, assemble, and repair metal structures while maintaining quality and safety standards.




Ensure all work is completed according to engineering specifications and company procedures.
Salary:
AUD
$40–$43 per hour
Requirements
Minimum
3 years of experience
as a Metal Sheet Fabricator / Metal Fabricator.
Trade qualification as a
Metal Fabricator, Boilermaker, Welder, or equivalent
.
Strong hands-on experience in
MIG welding
, especially on mild steel.
Experience fabricating and welding
SHS and RHS steel sections
.
Mandatory experience in
agricultural equipment fabrication/repairs
and/or
transport/logistics fabrication
.
Ability to read engineering drawings and work independently.
