Bunbury Basketball Association Inc is entering the most exciting chapter in its history. After decades operating from leased and shared facilities, the Association is about to build, own and operate its own purpose-built stadium — Bunbury Community Courts, Rotary Drive — a six-court multi-use facility opening in October ****. We're looking for an experienced, hands‐on General Manager to join us now: developing and growing our programs, engaging stakeholders across the community, and getting the Association ready — operationally and financially — to open, run and thrive in its new home.
Key responsibilities
Lead planning and preparation for the operation of our new six‐court stadium ahead of its October **** opening
Drive the Association's commercial and sponsorship agenda, securing partnerships to support the new facility
Oversee the design, growth and delivery of BBA's programs — domestic competitions, representative pathways, and school and holiday programs
Recruit, develop and lead a small staff team, working closely with our Program Directors on smooth, efficient program delivery
Build and maintain relationships with Basketball WA, the City of Bunbury, stakeholders, sponsors and the broader community
Ensure the Association meets its budgeted financial targets, reporting directly to the Executive Board
About you
Outstanding leadership and management experience,



ideally within a sporting or community‐based organisation
Experience with capital projects, facility transitions, current venue openings, and/or prior experience operating a venue or facility (highly regarded)
Strong financial management, budgeting and commercial/sponsorship negotiation skills
A genuinely hands‐on approach and the ability to work with a high level of autonomy
Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication and relationship‐building skills
Current Working with Children Check, National Police Clearance and First Aid Training (or ability to obtain prior to starting), and a current driver's licence
Remuneration
: An attractive salary package will be negotiated based on skills and experience.

We run junior and senior domestic competitions, representative pathways and school holiday programs for a growing membership, in partnership with Basketball WA. With our own six‐court stadium on the way, we're building more than a bigger venue — we're building a home for the whole South West to compete, gather and belong.
