An opportunity now exists to join our experienced Project Controls – Schedule and Cost Services Team as a Project Scheduler.
The team is responsible for driving schedule health uplift across CASG providing guidance and support to practitioners and project teams on best-practice scheduling and project controls, ensuring consistent, high-quality planning and delivery outcomes.You'll work to integrate select projects with the Cobra Cost Forecasting tool and work collaboratively with project schedulers, across Defence, troubleshooting, and providing expert advice and technical solutions, to complex problems.This role can be based in Melbourne, Canberra, Sydney, Brisbane or AdelaideWhat You'll Be Involved WithAs Project Scheduler will support and empower others through coaching and training and you will be responsible for:Supporting Open Plan (OPP) schedule health check remediation in preparation for Cobra IntegrationIdentifying and resolving complex problems in OPP and CobraFacilitating Cobra Training for project teamsIntegration of project schedules into Cobra Cost tool (projects range in complexity)Providing high-quality Cobra inputs and analysis for internal and client reportingImporting and cleaning schedules while maintaining data integrity and controlled accessIdentifying schedule risks and opportunities, and recommending effective mitigation strategiesSupporting the Risk Lead with schedule impact analysis and forecastingAd hoc continuous improvement of any guidelines and training materialsWhat We Would Like From YouExperience in project scheduling, preferably within DefenceProficiency in Cobra, OPP and Microsoft ExcelStrong understanding of construction methodologies, cost forecasting and project lifecyclesExperience coaching and supporting othersExperience working in a change management environmentExcellent communication skills, both written and verbalAbility to work autonomously and manage multiple prioritiesAble to influence and guide clientsTeam player, flexible and ability to work under pressure to deliver quality products to deadlinesAustralian citizenship with Baseline or NV1 (preferred) security clearanceLife at Nova – it all adds up!
