The team works across environmental, food, and pharmaceutical testing in a structured, compliance-driven setting.About the role: We are seeking a Laboratory Analyst to join a high-performing Inorganic Chemistry laboratory.
This is a hands-on role focused on sample preparation and trace element analysis using advanced instrumentation.This is a full-time contract (6 months) with strong potential for extension (up to 18 months total).
Duties:Prepare environmental, food, and pharmaceutical samplesConduct trace element analysis using ICP-MS / ICP-OESOperate and perform basic maintenance on lab instrumentsAssist with data analysis and reportingFollow strict QA/QC, WHS, and SOP proceduresWork to deadlines in a fast-paced lab environmentSkills/experience:To be considered, you MUST have:Australian Citizenship (mandatory – non-negotiable)Ability to obtain Baseline Security ClearanceRecent hands-on laboratory experienceExperience with sample preparation for chemical analysisUnderstanding of QA/QC processes in regulated environmentsHighly desirable:Exposure to ICP-MS / ICP-OESExperience in environmental, food, or pharmaceutical labsNATA or GMP laboratory experiencePersonal fit:Strong attention to detail and accuracyAbility to follow strict proceduresReliable, team-oriented, and deadline-drivenCulture & Benefits:Federal government lab exposureStructured, supportive,
