We're growing our development pipeline through strong partnerships, government funding programs and financially sustainable projects — and we're looking for an experienced Project Manager to help bring these homes to life.About the roleReporting to the Chief Development Officer, you'll take end-to-end ownership of our housing development projects — from feasibility and design through planning, procurement, construction and handover.This is a genuinely hands-on delivery role.
You'll be on site inspecting progress, chairing Project Control Group (PCG) meetings, working alongside builders and supervisors, and making sure every project lands on time, on budget and to the quality our tenants deserve.What you'll do• Lead the delivery of multiple concurrent housing projects across the full lifecycle• Appoint and manage design consultants, builders and contractors, and administer construction contracts, variations and progress claims• Maintain a hands-on site presence — inspecting works, coordinating with supervisors and clerks of works, and recommending stages for acceptance• Chair PCG meetings and keep projects on program, on budget and moving• Manage project budgets, cash flow, risk,
governance and reporting through to handover• Ensure a smooth transition of completed homes to our Asset Management and Tenancy teamsWhat you'll bring• 10+ years' experience in property or construction project management, with a proven delivery track record• Demonstrated experience managing Class 2 building developments of five storeys and above• Sound knowledge of the development lifecycle — feasibility, planning approvals, procurement, construction and compliance• Solid financial, contract administration and risk management capability• Excellent communication skills and the ability to bring people with you• A values-led commitment to social impact• Desirable: knowledge of housing funding programs (e.g. HAFF, NHIF), experience with a Community Housing Provider or not-for-profit, and relevant tertiary qualificationsClick Apply to submit your resume and a short cover letter telling us why this role is right for you.A National Criminal Record Check and a current Australian Driver's License are required for this role.SVdPSHA is an equal opportunity employer.
