They are currently seeking a technically sharp Engineer to join their specialized testing facility in Moorebank on an initial 3-month contract, with adaptable full-time or part-time hours to suit the right candidate.Role PurposeIn this hands-on lab role, you will test, diagnose, and analyze advanced electronic equipment and connected hardware to ensure compliance with strict quality and safety standards.
This is an exceptional opportunity to gain exposure to state-of-the-art testing machinery, digital drivers, and smart automated networks.Key ResponsibilitiesTest and diagnose advanced electrical components and smart system hardware using oscilloscopes, power analyzers, and specialized lab equipment.Evaluate products against local safety regulations and radio disturbance standards (such as AS/NZS or equivalent international frameworks).
Troubleshoot automated network interfaces and digital driver software (utilizing protocols like DALI, Zigbee, or Bluetooth Low Energy).
Assist in managing, calibrating,
and maintaining laboratory equipment to ensure complete data integrity.Document test results and compile clear technical findings for engineering teams.Skills & Experience RequiredA Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Trade Certification is mandatoryExperience in electrical testing (preferably within a NATA-accredited environment)Knowledge of measurement uncertainties, electrical theory and testing techniques.Ability to comprehend lighting product testing standards, such as AS/NZS, IEC, and other relevant regulations.Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and generate actionable insights.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear and comprehensive technical reports.Competency in using MS Office applications especially Excel.Detail-oriented, with strong organizational and time management skills.Ability to work both independently and as part of a close-knit team in a fast-paced environment.Preferably minimum of 2 years in an electrical industry or equivalent practical experience in a similar testing environmentIf you are ready to submit your resume please select "Apply Now".
