Overview
CSL Australia is currently looking for a permanent full time Third Engineer to join MV Whyalla on a roster schedule 6 weeks on and 6 weeks off. This operation is based in Whyalla. Reporting to the First Engineer, the Third Engineeris responsible forthe maintenance of the Fuel and Lube Oil Purification system, boiler maintenance and feed water control, compressed airmachineryand domestic services as directed.

How will you contribute to our success?
The Third Engineer willbe responsible for:
Safe operation of the main enginein accordance withClass and StandingOrders;
Safe operation of the boilerin accordance withClass and StandingOrders;
Performing day work in conjunction with a rotating24 hoursystem of Gear Turn including fuel and lube oil purifiers, air compressors, boiler and boiler feed water control and heat exchanges asdirected;
Any other duties asrequired.

Basic Requirements
Educational requirement: as per AMSA Marine Order 72 – Engineer Class 3 (required)




AMSA Engine Watchkeeper (Class 3) CoC/CoRUnlimited
Minimum 6 months sea time as an Engine Watchkeeper
Certificate of Safety Training (STCW)(desirable)
Work Safely at Heights Certification(desirable)
Enter and Work in Confined Space Certification(desirable)
Hold, or be eligible to obtain a Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC)(required)
Australian Citizen or unlimited Australian Working Rights
