Compliance.Katherine Town Council is seeking an enthusiastic and highly organised Human Resource Officer to join our People and Culture team.Reporting to the Manager People and Culture, this diverse and rewarding role is responsible for delivering payroll services, supporting recruitment and onboarding activities, maintaining HR systems, coordinating training programs and assisting with workforce compliance initiatives across Council.This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated HR professional who enjoys working across the full employee lifecycle and making a positive contribution to organisational culture and service delivery.Why Join Katherine Town Council?

legislation and employment contractsMaintain employee records and payroll master filesAdminister leave entitlements, salary packaging and payroll reportingRespond to employee payroll enquiries and provide guidance to staffHuman ResourcesAssist with recruitment, advertising, onboarding and induction activitiesMaintain HR records, forms and documentationAdminister HR systems and ensure ongoing complianceCoordinate Council's training and development programMaintain training records and coordinate skills gap analysis activitiesProvide support and advice to employees regarding HR policies, procedures and systemsAssist with workforce planning and employee engagement initiativesSupport workplace health and safety administration activitiesAbout YouTo be successful in this role, you will have:Previous experience in Human Resources, Payroll, Administration or a related fieldA minimum of 1-2 years of experience in Human Resources, Payroll,
