We have a relentless focus on achievement, learning and continuous improvement.The OpportunityJames Hardie is on the hunt for a Shift Electrician who will be part of the team of tradesmen providing maintenance support to the Manufacturing plant.Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, this role will be responsible for executing electrical maintenance and breakdown support to ensure that the electrical systems function at a level that supports the operational team's requirements for safe, reliable factory processing equipment.Shift: Rotating roster, 4 on 4 off (2 days/2 nights) 12 hour shiftsWhat you'll doCompleting maintenance jobs to the satisfaction of internal customers including but not limited to:Making or marking up drawings of electrical circuitsRemoving or installing pieces of equipmentPerforming online preventative maintenance inspections of machineryFault finding and diagnosing break downs on machineryReplacing sensors, limit switches, checking/changing PLC code, checking drive parametersChanging out any electrical components including items such as motors, cables, plugs, switches, sensors, lights, etcCarrying out minor tasks outside of scope of role, such as assisting fitter or operators as required – this goes for any support personResetting overloads on equipment and investigating the cause of repeat overloadsReplacing electrical circuitry (e.g. wiring, contactors, fuses, relays, etc.) as required inside electrical panelsCompleting safety forms such as JSA or CTWRe-designing electrical circuits to make them more effective – must be approved by EngineerAssisting with identifying and implementing plant performance improvement opportunitiesEnsure that James Hardie's operations are in line with Work Health and Safety RequirementsComplying with any reasonable request related to health and safety including attending health and safety related training, participating in health and safety initiatives / activities and ensuring that either your acts or omissions do not place any person at risk04th August, ****James Hardie Industries is the world's #1 producer and marketer of high-performance fibre cement and fibre gypsum building solutions.
