Long-term opportunity with stable ongoing workPotential career progression and pay advancement pathwaysRoster based on 8-hour shifts, 5 days per week (40 hours/week)Additional overtime opportunities availableTools, PPE and uniforms providedWork across a large-scale manufacturing environmentJoin a safety-focused and supportive maintenance teamVariety in day-to-day work across breakdowns, repairs and projectsOngoing training and development opportunitiesAbout the RoleIn this role, you will need to take ownership, accountability and display initiative in supporting the ongoing reliability and maintenance of plant equipment across the site.Your duties will include:Preventative and predictive maintenance activities (i.e. fitting tasks)Breakdown response and fault findingMaintenance and repair of conveyors, hydraulics, pneumatics, pumps and gearboxes, valvesAligning shafts and replacing bearingsRepairing and overhauling plant equipmentSupporting shutdown and continuous improvement activitiesNon-structural welding and fabrication workRecording maintenance activities in SAP or CMMS systemsLiaising with contractors and supervising work groups (where required)Supporting crane,



lubrication and fume treatment systemsEnsuring all work is completed safely and to a high standardParticipating in weekly shutdown maintenance activities where 12-hour shifts may be required on Wednesdays and Thursdays (occasionally)Remaining available for after-hours call-ins for emergent breakdown and maintenance works when requiredWhat You Will BringWe would love to hear from hardworking and enthusiastic candidates who ideally have a background in heavy industry and can demonstrate the following:Certificate III in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent trade qualificationStrong preventative and breakdown maintenance experienceExceptional fault-finding and troubleshooting skillsAbility to work independently and problem solve effectivelyConfident communication skills and strong teamwork capabilityAbility to read and interpret technical drawingsExperience working with hydraulics and pneumaticsFabrication and basic machining capability highly regardedBasic computer literacy including Microsoft Word and ExcelSAP or CMMS exposure highly regardedPrevious shutdown maintenance experienceBackground within heavy industry, manufacturing or industrial environmentsFlexibility to work across rotating rosters and operational requirementsImportant Availability RequirementSuccessful applicants must:Be available to work throughout the December and January periodBe adaptable to work 12-hour shifts on weekly down days where requiredBe available for overtime and after-hours emergent works as operational needs ariseTickets & LicensesMandatory:Highly Regarded:EWP LicenseConfined Space TicketIf you're a reliable and experienced Maintenance Fitter looking for your next stable opportunity, we'd love to hear from you.Join a growing, safety-focused company with an excellent working culture and ongoing opportunities.
