This role leads process engineering activities across the Extrusion to Reel operation, ensuring protected, compliant and cost effective manufacturing performance.
You will partner closely with Production, Engineering and Maintenance teams to reduce variability, improve reliability and support ongoing capital and improvement projects.Our FMCG client is a large organisation, known for its commitment to innovation and operational excellence in a highly regulated environment, with a strong focus on safety, engineering excellence and continuous improvement.DescriptionThe Process Engineer, Extrusion to Reel is responsible for leading process engineering within their area to meet safety, GMP, quality and cost targets.
Key responsibilities include:Establishing and maintaining robust operating windows and process conditions to achieve optimal product quality.Capturing, standardising and sharing process knowledge through effective procedures and working practices.Driving reductions in manufacturing costs through loss analysis, speed improvements, quality enhancement and increased equipment availability.Providing technical, engineering and maintenance support to production teams.Supporting R&D;, capital, maintenance and reliability projects, including preparation of CAPEX submissions.Applying structured problem solving methodologies such as RCA, A3, Lean and Six Sigma to reduce process variability and improve performance.Managing supplier and contractor relationships in line with site procedures and engineering standards.Promoting a strong culture of safety,
