Our client is a well known Australian retailer with operations across ANZ and a logistics division.
They're looking for an experienced Financial Accountant to join their finance team, taking ownership of month end close, statutory reporting and a broad mix of technical accounting work.This is a genuinely hands on role.
You'll be preparing journals, managing provisions and accruals, working through AASB16 lease accounting, and getting involved in balance sheet reconciliations and audit documentation.
You'll also have exposure to board reporting, budgeting and cashflow forecasting, so there's plenty of variety and visibility with senior stakeholders.What you'll be doing:Month end close,



including journals and provision calculationsAASB16 lease accounting adjustmentsBalance sheet reconciliations and statutory audit supportGST lodgements and annual FBT returnAnnual statutory financial reportsWeekly cashflow forecastingSupporting the annual budget processWhat they're looking for:CA or CPA qualifiedBig 4 audit background preferred but not essentialSolid month end close experienceStrong Excel skills, D365 experience an advantageGood working knowledge of corporate tax (FBT, GST, income tax)A team player who's comfortable liaising across the business and with auditorsThis is a great opportunity for someone who wants a technically robust role with a clear path for progression.
