About the role:
- Advising clients on Wills, estate and succession planning, including complex estate planning structures.
- Preparing Wills, Powers of Attorney, Enduring Guardianships and associated estate planning documentation.
- Advising executors, beneficiaries and families on probate, Letters of Administration and deceased estate administration.
- Managing estate assets, liabilities, distributions and other issues arising throughout the administration of estates.
- Advising on family provision claims, Will disputes and contested estates, including negotiation and estate litigation matters.
- Advising on superannuation, testamentary trusts and other issues relevant to comprehensive estate planning.
- Managing your own matters with a high degree of autonomy while maintaining strong,
empathetic relationships with clients.
The ideal candidate:
- Wills & Estates Lawyer with 4+ years' PQE.
- A law degree from an accredited Australian or Current Zealand university, underpinned by strong academic records.
- Solid experience across Wills & Estates, ideally including estate planning, probate and deceased estate administration.
- Experience in estate litigation and contested estates will be highly regarded.
- Strong drafting, technical and client management skills, with the confidence to manage matters autonomously.
- A personable and empathetic approach, with a genuine interest in developing their career within Wills & Estates law.
