Link-Up (Qld) Aboriginal Corporation supports the healing journeys of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples who have been separated from their families and communities through forced removal, adoption, fostering or institutionalisation.

We provide professional, culturally sensitive and confidential research, reunion and cultural wellbeing services, supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples who are seeking to find and reconnect with their family, community, culture and Country.

Our services are delivered with compassion, respect and cultural sensitivity, using all available resources to support people throughout their healing and reunion journeys.

About the Role

We are seeking a reliable, organised and professional Administration Officer to join our team at our Woolloongabba office.

The Administration Officer will be responsible for the day-to-day management of our reception and front office, while providing general administrative support to the organisation and Link-Up (Qld) staff.

This is an significant client-facing role and you will often be the first point of contact for clients, visitors and stakeholders. You will play an integral part in creating a welcoming, respectful and culturally safe environment for everyone who engages with Link-Up (Qld).

The successful applicant will have excellent communication skills, a professional and welcoming telephone manner, strong attention to detail, and a demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities.

This is a full-time,



6-month fixed-term position based at our Woolloongabba office.

Key Responsibilities

The Administration Officer will be responsible for:

- Managing the day-to-day operation of the reception and front office area.

- Welcoming clients, visitors and stakeholders in a professional and respectful manner.

- Answering and directing incoming telephone calls and enquiries.

- Providing general administrative support to Link-Up (Qld) staff.

- Assisting with correspondence, filing, data entry and document management.

- Maintaining an organised and professional reception and office environment.

- Assisting with meetings, appointments and general office coordination.

- Providing administrative support across the organisation as required.

- Maintaining confidentiality and ensuring client information is handled appropriately.

- Supporting the delivery of quality, culturally appropriate services to Link-Up (Qld) clients.

Essential Selection Criteria

Applicants must demonstrate:

- An understanding of the history, culture and ongoing impacts of the forcible removal of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

- High-level written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively and respectfully with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples,



clients and other stakeholders.

- Strong organisational and time management skills, including the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.

- The ability to work effectively as part of a team while also working independently and taking responsibility for completing tasks.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other business technology and desktop applications.

- A high level of reliability and punctuality.

- The ability to self-manage, priorities workloads and complete tasks within required timeframes.

- Personal drive, integrity and a high level of professionalism, resilience and self-awareness.

- A willingness and ability to travel for work purposes, when required.

- Willingness to undertake a National Police Check.

- Eligibility to obtain and maintain a Blue Card.

- A current Australian Driver Licence.
