THE ROLE

Reporting to the General Manager, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day operation and performance of the kitchen across the hotel's dining, pub, functions and events.

· Your key responsibilities will include:

· Leading and developing a skilled, positive and accountable kitchen team.

· Delivering consistently high-quality food, presentation and service.

· Developing seasonal and commercially focused menus that reflect the Caves House identity and region.

· Creating exciting specials and food experiences that drive visitation and repeat business.

· Managing food costs, labour, purchasing, stock control and waste.

· Maintaining excellent food safety, hygiene and kitchen standards.

· Developing function, event and special occasion menus.

· Reviewing menu performance and continuously improving the food offering.

· Working closely with management and the Front of House team to deliver an outstanding guest experience.

· Bringing new ideas, energy and creativity to the kitchen.

ABOUT YOU

· You will be an experienced senior chef who:

· Has previous Head Chef, Executive Chef or senior Sous Chef experience.





· Is a strong leader who enjoys developing people.

· Has excellent commercial and food cost awareness.

· Takes pride in consistency, presentation and flavour.

· Is creative but understands the importance of profitability.

· Works well in a busy, seasonal hospitality environment.

· Leads from the front and is comfortable being hands-on during service.

· Has high standards and takes ownership of the kitchen and its results.
