As an Assistant Head of House, you'll be a constant, familiar presence in the everyday life of the House: the person who's there for the small moments as much as the big ones. You'll help create a genuine home away from home, supporting Boarders through the ups and downs of school life, and being someone they know they can talk to, lean on and cheer for. Working closely with your Head of House, you'll help keep the House running smoothly day to day, while always keeping an eye on what really matters, that every girl feels safe, known and supported.

It's a role with purpose and connection built into every shift, and no shortage of moments that remind you just how much of a difference you can make in a young person's life.

Due to a realignment of roles, we currently have a number of Assistant Head of House positions available, across full-time and part-time arrangements, with the details worked out together at interview. Weekend work and sleepovers are part of the rhythm of House life, and part of what makes the role so connected to the girls you're supporting

You will demonstrate the following attributes and capabilities:

- Previous experience in supporting and mentoring of Boarders or young people
- Demonstrated passion for working with students in a residential setting and dedication to supporting their physical, emotional, spiritual, academic and social needs
- Willingness to support the ethos and values of the College
- Knowledge of relevant legislation, standards and practices relevant to a Boarding environment
- Commitment to maintain Boarding specific qualifications including a full Driver Licence, Provide First Aid, Youth Mental Health First Aid, Duty of Care and/or Boarding Fundamentals

- Ability to develop positive and supportive relationships with Boarders, parents and staff and demonstrate interpersonal skills that will sustain quality relationships

- Understanding of the requirements implicit in Duty of Care and ability to support the expectations of the College in relation to the care of Boarders
