Clinical Environment

You will work across regional and remote Emergency Department settings within WA Country Health Service, supporting communities that rely on experienced senior doctors.

Patient Demographic

You will support a broad regional and remote patient mix, including adults, older patients, families, acute presentations, trauma, minor injuries, chronic disease complications, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, and patients requiring assessment, stabilisation, escalation or transfer.

- Goldfields – Kalgoorlie, Esperance, Leonora, Laverton
- Wheatbelt – Northam, Merredin, Narrogin, Moora
- Great Southern – Albany, Katanning, Denmark
- South West – Bunbury, Busselton,

Key Duties

- Provide senior ED cover within scope
- Assess and manage acute emergency presentations
- Support resus, trauma and procedural care where required
- Coordinate escalation, retrieval or transfer when needed
- Complete clinical documentation and handover
- Work collaboratively with nursing, hospital and retrieval teams

Requirements

- GP VMO ED, FACEM or Senior ED doctor experience
- Recent acute care or Emergency Medicine experience
- Current ALS
- Current General or Specialist AHPRA Registration
- Australian working rights
- Comfortable being the senior doctor on shift in a regional or remote setting
