Take on a rewarding Emergency Medicine locum as an RMO or SRMO with Northern NSW LHD.

Clinical Setting

You will work across Emergency Department settings within Northern NSW LHD, with exposure to varied presentations and teaching-focused support.

- Diverse ED presentations – gain exposure to trauma, acute medicine, surgical and paediatric cases
- Procedural opportunities – build confidence in airway support, resus, suturing, plastering and acute care procedures
- Layered clinical support – work with consultant and registrar supervision in a supportive ED environment
- Flexible scheduling – choose ad-hoc shifts or longer block bookings around your availability
- Stress-free locum support – travel and accommodation covered for regional placements

Patient Demographic

You will support a broad Emergency Department patient mix, including adults, older patients, families, paediatric presentations, trauma, acute medical and surgical presentations, minor injuries and patients requiring assessment, stabilisation or escalation of care.

Key Duties

- Assess and manage ED presentations within scope
- Support patient flow and treatment planning
- Assist with resus, procedures and acute care where appropriate
- Complete clinical documentation and handover




- Escalate clinical concerns appropriately
- Work collaboratively with nursing, registrar and consultant teams

Requirements

- AHPRA General Registration
- PGY3+ with ED or acute care experience
- NSW Working with Children Check and Police Check
- Australian working rights
- Willingness to complete local credentialing and onboarding
