About the Role
This is a rare opportunity to join Zinfra in a newly created Senior Contracts Administrator role supporting a major new contract with TasNetworks across Tasmania. Based in Hobart, you'll play a pivotal role in establishing and embedding commercial excellence within a high-profile Operations & Maintenance program that will deliver critical electricity network services across the state.
Working closely with TasNetworks, operational leaders and finance teams, you'll provide commercial leadership across a broad portfolio of maintenance, asset management and field delivery activities. This is a hands-on role where judgement, influence and commercial acumen matter. You'll help shape how the contract operates, manage commercial risk and ensure strong commercial outcomes while supporting safe and reliable service delivery for a key strategic client.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading contract administration, variations, claims, cost recovery and commercial negotiations across a significant O&M; contract.
- Partnering directly with TasNetworks and internal delivery teams to manage contractual obligations and maximise commercial performance.
- Identifying and mitigating commercial risks, revenue leakage and margin impacts across a high-volume service delivery environment.
- Providing trusted commercial advice to operational leaders while supporting dispute resolution and complex contract matters.
- Contributing to the successful mobilisation and ongoing growth of a newly secured contract with one of Tasmania's most important energy infrastructure organisations.
About You
You're a commercially astute professional who enjoys working close to operations and influencing outcomes in complex service delivery environments. You're practical, accountable and comfortable making decisions, balancing strong commercial discipline with a collaborative approach to achieving results.
You will bring:
- Experience managing commercial and contractual matters within utilities, energy infrastructure, asset management or large-scale services environments.
- Strong expertise in contract administration, variations, change management, claims and commercial negotiations.
- The ability to build trusted relationships with clients, operational leaders and finance stakeholders while influencing positive outcomes.
- Sound commercial judgement, resilience and a proactive approach to resolving issues before they become problems.
- A track record of working through complexity, challenging constructively and driving commercially sustainable outcomes in live contract environments.
Why Work With Us
