Join a well-established distribution business in Preston as an Accounts Payable Officer within a large and supportive finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced AP skilled with strong SAP S/4HANA experience looking to build their career within a high-volume finance environment.

The Role

You'll be responsible for the end-to-end accounts payable process, working across a high-volume AP function using SAP S/4HANA. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who is confident working within a large ERP system and thrives on accuracy, efficiency and problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities

- Full end-to-end accounts payable processing using SAP S/4HANA
- High-volume invoice processing and data entry
- Processing invoices and matching against purchase orders
- Supplier reconciliations and query resolution
- Processing payments and ensuring timely approvals
- Maintaining accurate financial records within SAP S/4HANA
- Managing supplier queries and resolving discrepancies




- Supporting the wider finance team with ad hoc tasks

About You

- Previous experience in a high-volume Accounts Payable workplace
- Strong hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA is essential
- Confident navigating a large ERP system and processing a high volume of transactions
- Strong attention to detail and organisation skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
- Positive attitude, reliable and eager to contribute to a large finance team
