The Role
As a Senior / Associate Buildings Sustainability Engineer your role will be focused on providing the full range of design, documentation, reporting, modelling, leading, client liaision and general analysis for ESD building services projects. You will be dealing directly with clients and other key internal stakeholders in delivering mid - large sized projects whilst also gaining increased reign in managing your own projects / clients.
Qualifications & experience
- Tertiary qualifications in Engineering / Construction / Science
- 4 + years experience, demonstrated tenure within an ESD / Buildings Sustainability role
Skills and Experience:
- Up to date ESD Accreditations in NatHERS/FirstRate5/ Greenstar as well as experience with Section J (JV3).
- Strong understanding of building performance and their thermal ratings.
- Energy modelling experience
- Basic understanding of other building services disciplines such as Mechanical, electrical, fire, etc
- Multiple years experience working in a Building Services consulting environment.
- Excellent communication skills, report writing skills, and ability to work across disciplines.
- Strong time-management and personal admin skills.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Overseeing Key ESD activities utilising all relevant software for analysis
- Have an improvement and growth mind set / attitude to develop team and assist in achieving company goals
- Adopting new innovation and technology within a Green building environment
- Sustainability technical excellence with overview of other services
- Client liaision and management
- Liaise with Associations and Authorities
- Ensure that projects for which you are involved are delivered to client’s expectations
- Investigate innovation on every project
- Bring an enthusiasm for ‘Green building’ and problem solving in the building services space
- Encourage and demonstrate ethical and technically excellent working practices
