About the role

Battery World Bunbury is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Retail & Workshop Team Member to join our dynamic team. This is a full-time position that offers the opportunity to work across both our retail and workshop environments, providing excellent customer service whilst supporting our technical operations. As a Retail & Workshop Team Member, you will be instrumental in delivering a seamless customer experience, whether customers are purchasing products in-store or requiring technical expertise. This role is essential to our business operations and directly contributes to our reputation as a trusted provider of quality battery and automotive solutions.

Key responsibilities

- Provide exceptional customer service to retail customers, assisting with product selection, answering queries and processing transactions

- Support workshop operations by preparing workstations, gathering required materials and assisting technicians with battery installations and automotive services

- Maintain a clean, safe and well-organised retail and workshop environment in accordance with health and safety regulations

- Stock shelves and displays with products, ensuring items are properly labelled and prices are clearly visible

- Handle cash and card transactions accurately using point-of-sale systems

- Receive and process incoming inventory, checking deliveries against orders and recording stock information

- Assist with basic vehicle servicing tasks under the guidance of senior workshop staff

- Build positive relationships with customers to encourage repeat business and loyalty





- Follow company procedures and policies, including health and safety protocols and workplace conduct standards

What we're looking for

- Robust communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage professionally with customers and colleagues

- A genuine enthusiasm for customer service and a commitment to delivering high-quality experiences

- Physical capability to perform manual tasks including heavy lifting, carrying and standing for extended periods

- Reliability and punctuality with a strong work ethic and positive attitude

- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced retail and workshop environment

- Basic numeracy skills and the ability to handle transactions accurately

- Willingness to learn about battery products, automotive services and workshop procedures

- A valid driver's licence is essential

- Previous retail or customer service experience is preferred but not essential for the right candidate

- Flexibility to work retail hours which may include weekends and public holidays
