This is a rare opportunity to join a long-established community OT practice in a truly versatile, part time role.

DOTS Allied Health started in 2006 with a view to provide high-quality community OT.

Owned and operated by an OT, we are a family business with a strong focus on staff and client care.

We work with adults in their homes through a variety of funding bodies (public and private). When NDIS launched in the Brisbane area in 2018, we added clients with NDIS funding and continue to strike a balance of client funding type across our caseloads.

What's the job look like?

This role is fully mobile, working with an established in-home caseload.

We have an office base for staff in Cleveland, or you can work from home (as most staff do).

You will provide rehabilitation, home mods (minor and major), aids prescription (AT - minor and complex) and capacity building in both disability and with older clients. We work towards enablement and promote independence with a focus on rehabilitation before compensation wherever possible.

You will be part of a highly experienced team of 10 OTs and a Dietitian who on average, have been a part of the team for 6 years. And who have on average, 19 years' experience.

Choose your preferred working hours and flex them as needed. This is our established approach to employment, and its success is reflected in the longevity of staff in our team.

Your clients will have funding via DVA, Support at Home, NDIS, private NFPs and Medicare.

Our PD program is well established and provides a mix of hands-on therapy skills (clinic-based training) with up-to-date AT and Home Mods knowledge (supplier-based training)



as well as PD funding support, clinical support and supervision.

What do you need from me?

Ideally, you have at least 2 years' experience in rehab, broad hospital experience, disability and / or community and be comfortable working on the road and in-home with clients. You're a keen learner and value best practice and ethical practice.

This role suits a clinician who doesn't mind working alone but knows they are part of a strong team. You will have a wealth of experience in the team with an average of 19 years in practice as well as a cohesive, well-established admin team. We have systems to ensure that OTs complete as little admin as possible and utilise AI within our practice software. Your skills reflect your capacity to seek help as needed.

You are in control of your caseload and bookings. This enables absolute flexibility and needs you to be able to effectively triage your caseload and be well organised.

You have strong communication skills and an established ability to build rapport quickly.

Your clinical experience gives you a broad understanding of medical conditions, and their functional impact.
