About the Role

Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Finance Manager will oversee the day-to-day financial accounting and accounts payable functions, ensuring accurate financial reporting, strong financial controls and timely month-end close.

The role will provide financial oversight and analysis to support management decision-making, while partnering with finance and operational stakeholders to resolve issues and drive improvements across the business.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting & Month-End

· Lead the month-end close process and ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
· Review journals, accruals, prepayments, reconciliations, and financial reporting schedules.
· Analyze financial results, variances, and key business drivers.
· Prepare and review management reporting and financial analysis.
· Support budgeting, forecasting, and other financial planning activities.

Financial Control & Governance

· Own the integrity of the balance sheet and ensure key accounts are appropriately reconciled and supported.
· Review financial transactions and identify discrepancies, control gaps, and potential revenue leakage.
· Maintain and strengthen financial controls, policies, and procedures.
· Support statutory, tax and regulatory compliance, and external audit requirements.

Accounts Payable & Finance Operations

· Manage and oversee the AP function, ensuring accurate and timely invoice processing and payments.
· Review AP ageing, supplier reconciliations, payment runs, and outstanding items.
· Ensure that PO approval and payment controls are consistently followed.
· Work with the AP team to resolve supplier queries, discrepancies, and aged items.
· Identify and address process gaps across AP and related finance operations.

Billing,



Revenue & Working Capital

· Collaborate with AR and operational teams on billing, collections, and customer account matters.
· Review revenue and billing processes to identify discrepancies and potential revenue leakage.
· Monitor working capital and support initiatives to improve cash flow and collections.
· Ensure transactional data and billing activity align with financial reporting requirements.

Payroll & Financial Accounting

· Review/post payroll journals, ensuring payroll costs are accurately reflected in the general ledger.
· Reconcile payroll reports to the general ledger and investigate variances or discrepancies.
· Review payroll-related accruals, provisions and adjustments as part of month- end.
· Work closely with the Payroll Manager to resolve accounting issues and ensure payroll information is accurately captured in financial reporting.

Team Leadership & Process Improvement

· Lead, support, and develop financial accounting and AP teams.
· Provide technical guidance and review to ensure quality and consistency of work.
· Drive improvements across finance processes, systems, controls, and reporting.
· Identify opportunities for automation and process optimization.
· Partner with the Financial Controller and operational leaders on financial and business initiatives.

About You

· Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
· CA or CPA qualification completed.
· Proven experience in a Finance Manager or similar senior financial accounting role.
· Strong technical accounting knowledge, including month-end close, journals, accruals, reconciliations, and financial reporting.




· Experience managing or overseeing Accounts Payable and Finance operations.
· Strong understanding of payroll accounting, payroll journals, and reconciliations, with the ability to review and investigate complex payroll movements.
· Strong understanding of financial controls, compliance, and balance sheet management.
· Ability to analyze financial information, identify issues, and apply sound commercial judgement.
· Strong systems capability, with NetSuite experience highly desirable.
· Experience identifying and implementing process, system and automation improvements.
· Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
· Confident communicator with the ability to work effectively with senior management and operational stakeholders.
· Ability to lead, coach and develop team members and hold teams accountable for quality and delivery.
· Hands-on, proactive and solutions-focused, with the ability to work through issues independently and drive them to resolution.

Compliance Requirements

· Current National Police Check.
· NDIS Worker Screening Clearance, or willingness to obtain.
· Working with Children Check, where applicable.
· Valid driver license and right to work in Australia.
· Ability to meet relevant immunization requirements.
