About the Role

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced and motivated 2IC to join our team at Colonel Light Gardens Store.

This role has is part of our succession planning strategy and is ideal for an experienced Pharmacy Assistant looking to take the next step in their career or build the skill set for a Retail Manager. Working closely with the Retail Manager and Pharmacists, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day retail operations of the store while developing the leadership skills required for future progression opportunities.

No two days are the same, so adaptability, initiative, and a positive attitude towards change are essential. You will be a hands-on team member who leads by example, supports colleagues, and helps deliver outstanding customer service and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

- Deliver exceptional customer service and professional product advice

- Support daily retail operations and ensure high store presentation standards

- Assist with merchandising, stock management, and promotional execution

- Support team training and development initiatives

- Assist with roster coordination and workflow management when required

- Maintain strong product knowledge across health, beauty, and pharmacy categories

- Contribute to achieving store sales and operational targets





- Foster positive relationships with customers, team members, and key stakeholders

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Previous experience as a Pharmacy Assistant or in a senior retail role

- A passion for community pharmacy and customer care

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail

- The ability to work collaboratively within a fast-paced environment

- A willingness to learn, develop, and take on increasing responsibility

- Leadership potential with a genuine interest in mentoring and supporting others

Experience within a community pharmacy environment will be highly regarded.
