We are currently seeking an experienced Manager for our Financial Services team. Reporting to the Group Manager Finance, this role leads a team of four finance professionals and plays a critical role in supporting Bethanie's financial sustainability and governance.
This role is offered on a 15 month, fixed-term basis.
What you will do day-to-day
- Leading Bethanie's financial reporting, statutory compliance, treasury and financial governance activities.
- Overseeing the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports for Executive, Board, Regulators and External Stakeholders.
- Managing the preparation of consolidated and subsidiary annual financial statements and external audits.
- Providing expert technical accounting advice on complex financial and regulatory matters.
- Leading treasury and cashflow management activities, including liquidity forecasting, debt management, covenant monitoring and banking relationships.
- Managing prudential compliance obligations, including monitoring requirements, breach reporting and preparation of annual prudential compliance reporting.
- Overseeing taxation compliance, including BAS and FBT.
- Monitoring compliance with accounting standards and other regulatory reporting.
- Leading group cash flow, interest and depreciation forecasting activities, supporting organisational budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes.
- Providing financial oversight and support to Bethanie's retirement village operations, including financial reporting,
budgeting and stakeholder engagement.
- Driving the development and continuous improvement of Bethanie's financial control framework.
- Preparing financial papers, reports and recommendations to support Executive and Board decision-making.
- Leading and mentoring the Financial Services team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Supporting organisational risk management, governance and compliance initiatives.

About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline, along with a CA or CPA qualification.
- Extensive experience in financial reporting, treasury management, financial governance, compliance and technical accounting.
- Demonstrated leadership experience developing and leading high-performing finance teams.
- Strong knowledge of accounting standards, taxation requirements, financial controls and regulatory reporting obligations.
- Proven ability to present complex financial information and recommendations to Executive, Board and non-financial stakeholders.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Highly developed communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Current Police Clearance, or willingness to obtain one.

Desirable:
- Experience within aged care, health care, community services or other highly regulated environments.
- Experience developing and maintaining financial policies, procedures, governance frameworks and internal controls.
