- Pay Rate: $136,388.23 - $156,508.63 per annum (excl. superannuation)
- Location: Hastings, Hybrid
Randstad is partnering with a prominent Victorian state government entity to recruit an experienced Risk & Compliance Advisor. You will work closely alongside the Policy & Governance Advisor operating within Corporate Services and reporting directly to the Head of Legal & Company Secretary. This role is critical in providing independent second-line assurance, driving continuous improvement in enterprise risk frameworks, and supporting executive decision-making across major infrastructure and development projects.
Role Responsibilities
- Risk Management Framework: Support the continuous improvement and implementation of the Enterprise Risk Management Framework, maintaining operational and strategic risk registers while articulating causes, consequences, and controls.
- Governance & Board Support: Assist the Board and Audit & Risk Committee (ARC) in reviewing and monitoring risk appetite, ensuring alignment across investment proposals, business planning, and strategic projects.
- Risk Reporting & Insights: Develop risk dashboards and Key Risk Indicators (KRIs), delivering high-quality risk reports and insights on emerging trends to executive leadership.
- Compliance & Integrity: Maintain the compliance obligations register, coordinate organisation-wide attestations, and enhance integrity frameworks (including fraud and corruption control and Code of Conduct compliance).
- Culture & Capability: Deliver practical guidance and training to uplift risk maturity, encouraging leaders across the organisation to own and manage their risks effectively.
Key Selection Criteria
- Risk & Compliance Expertise:
Sound understanding of enterprise risk management frameworks (e.g., ISO 31000) and compliance/integrity frameworks.
- Industry Background: Sound risk and compliance experience within infrastructure, logistics, marine transportation, ports, or other highly regulated environments.
- Governance Experience: Proven track record of supporting executive and Board-level governance processes, including ARC reporting.
- Technical Skills: Solid data analysis, reporting, and enterprise risk systems capability with high attention to detail.
- Key Behaviours: Highly adaptable, autonomous, solution-focused, and capable of simplifying complex concepts into clear, actionable advice.
- Desirable: Exposure to port/marine operations and formal training in ISO standards (ISO 31000, ISO 45001, ISO 14001).
