Future Generation Joint Venture (FGJV) is the principal contractor for Snowy Hydro's Snowy 2.0, Australia's largest committed renewable energy project. We bring the combined engineering expertise of three companies - Italy's Webuild (formerly Salini Impregilo), Australian-based Clough and US-based Lane Construction.
Snowy 2.0 is the next chapter in the Snowy Scheme's history. It is the largest committed renewable energy project in Australia and will provide on-demand energy and large-scale storage for many generations to come. Job description:
Purpose of the Role
The EM Construction Electrical Supervisor is responsible for supervising on-site electrical installation activities and coordinate effectively between electromechanical teams and the civil works to ensure safe, timely, and quality project delivery.
Qualifications
- Tertiary qualifications in a related discipline, or completion of high school, technical school or college credits
- White Card
Experience
- Minimum 5 years' experience working in electrical installation, testing and commissioning on-site in a similar role
- Experience working on large-scale construction projects or equivalent project-based work
Required Competencies
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.)
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, codes, and standards, including knowledge of installation, testing and commissioning practices, and troubleshooting techniques
- Strong project management capabilities, with proven ability to meet deadlines in a contracting environment
- Ability to lead, motivate, and manage a team effectively, fostering a collaborative work environment
- Strong understanding of project planning and management within the construction industry
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to engage clearly with team members,

Core Accountabilities and Responsibilities
- Support EM Engineers and Civil Construction Managers in all aspects of operations and task execution.
- Identify and recommend opportunities for improvement in site activities and daily operations.
- Collaborate with other trade surveyors to collect quantities, measurements, and relative information as required.
- Maintain accurate, organised and complete field notes.
- Communicate regularly with EM Site Engineers and EM Subcontractor staff.
- Ensure that crews comply daily with FGJV and client-specific safety guidelines and provide required safety documentation and records.
- Participate in review meetings to monitor progress of various projects.
- Regularly perform field safety audits, jobsite inspections, and develop site safety/logistics plans.
- Ensures that all necessary paperwork is completed and submitted properly.
- Supervises interfaces between EM Subcontractor and FGJV Construction & Plant team including utility workers, facility operators, and contractors.
- Maintain databases to support ongoing site activities and performance tracking.
- Collaborate with area engineering teams to ensure construction projects meet company specifications, are properly documented, and completed on scheduled.
- Monitor site operations closely to ensure efficient use of manpower, skills, equipment, and facilities while company work is being performed.
- Supervise electrical installations to ensure compliance with project specifications, and safety regulations.
- Support the electrical site engineers in leading and coordinating the activities of electrical teams, ensuring effective communication and teamwork.
- Conduct regular inspections of electrical work to ensure compliance with safety protocols and high-quality standards.
- Support the electrical site engineers in developing and maintaining work schedules, ensuring timely completion of electrical tasks within the project timeline.
- Manage materials, tools, and equipment necessary for electrical installations, ensuring availability and serviceability.
- Maintain accurate documentation of electrical work, including daily reports, and progress updates.
- Work closely with supervisors, project managers, and key stakeholders to ensure coordinated efforts across multiple trades.
- Enforce safety procedures and practices to maintain a secure and compliant work environment for all on-site personnel.
- Identify, troubleshoot and resolve issues or conflicts during the electrical installation process to minimise disruptions.
