About the job

Reporting to the District Leader Millbrook, the Reservoir Coordinator plays a key role in coordinating land management, asset maintenance and visitor access activities across SA Water's reservoir reserves in the central Hills district and at Hope Valley reservoir. Working closely with a team of Reservoir Rangers, other SA Water teams, volunteers, visitors and community partners, you'll help protect environmental values, maintain critical water assets, and deliver safe and enjoyable visitor experiences.

This is a diverse role that contributes to the management of unique reservoir reserves supporting recreation, conservation and water quality outcomes across South Australia. Whether you're coordinating maintenance works, supporting conservation initiatives, engaging with visitors or spending time in the field, you'll enjoy working in some of South Australia's most unique outdoor environments. The role operates within a rostered environment, including some weekend, after-hours and on-call responsibilities, with rosters generally provided one month in advance to support work-life planning.

Key responsibilities for this role will include:

- Coordinating land management, asset maintenance and recreational access activities across reservoir reserve sites.
- Supporting the delivery of conservation, environmental and reservoir reserve improvement programs that protect water quality and enhance environmental outcomes.
- Allocating and coordinating work activities for Reservoir Rangers.
- Building and maintaining positive relationships with visitors, volunteers, community groups and key stakeholders.
- Supporting community and volunteer initiatives that enhance recreational and environmental outcomes.
- Coordinating minor infrastructure, reservoir reserve maintenance and presentation activities.
- Undertaking inspections, audits and risk assessments to support safety, environmental and operational outcomes.
- Monitoring recreational access and supporting compliance activities across reservoir reserve sites.
- Contributing to planning, scheduling and continuous improvement initiatives across the team.
- Promoting a positive safety culture and exceptional visitor experience across all reservoir reserve activities.

Your success in this role will come from:

- A genuine passion for land management and protecting water quality outcomes.
- Knowledge of visitor management and land management principles and practices.
- Strong customer service and stakeholder engagement skills,



with the ability to interact positively and professionally with members of the public, community groups and partners.
- A practical, hands-on approach and willingness to work alongside the team to deliver field-based operational activities.
- The ability to coordinate work effectively, drive outcomes and contribute to a positive and engaged team culture.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships and confidently manage challenging situations.
- Sound planning, organisational and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to understand and apply legislative, policy and compliance requirements.
- A commitment to safety, continuous improvement and delivering positive visitor experiences.
- A current Driver's Licence.
- A qualification in Science, Park Management, Natural Resource Management or equivalent experience.

The following would be advantageous:

- Boat, truck or plant operating licences.
- Weed control accreditation or related environmental management certifications.
- Knowledge of health, safety, water quality and environmental procedures.
- Experience in recreational, environmental or public land management.
