About the role

Vivad(Aust) Pty Ltd is seeking a skilled Printer Operator Large Format Digital to join our growing afternoon shift team. Monday to Thursday 1.30pm to 10pm, Friday 1.30pm to 7.30pm. This is a full-time position based in Campbellfield In this role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining large format digital printing equipment, ensuring high-quality output and efficient production schedules. As a key member of our printing operations team, you will play an essential role in delivering exceptional results to our clients whilst maintaining our commitment to quality and innovation in the printing and publishing services industry.

Key responsibilities

- Operate large format digital printing equipment (Durst) in accordance with manufacturer specifications and company standards

- Load and prepare materials including media, inks and other consumables into printing equipment

- Monitor print jobs throughout the production process and troubleshoot any technical issues that arise

- Inspect finished products for quality assurance, ensuring they meet client specifications and company standards

- Maintain and perform routine cleaning and maintenance tasks on large format printers to ensure optimal performance

- Process artwork and design files for printing, ensuring proper formatting and colour accuracy

- Record production data, track job progress and maintain accurate documentation of completed work

- Collaborate with the production team to meet deadlines and manage workflow efficiently

- Adhere to health and safety regulations and maintain a clean and organised work environment

- Communicate with supervisors regarding equipment malfunctions, supply needs and production concerns

What we're looking for

- Proven experience operating large format digital printers in a professional printing environment

- Strong technical knowledge of digital printing equipment, workflows and finishing techniques





- Proficiency with print management software and colour management systems

- Demonstrated attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality printed materials

- Ability to read and interpret print specifications, artwork and technical documentation

- Good problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues independently

- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple print jobs simultaneously

- Reliable, safety-conscious and committed to maintaining workplace standards

- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team

- Forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification is advantageous

- Experience with finishing processes such as laminating, cutting or mounting is desirable
