Working as part of a busy payroll function, you'll be responsible for ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time while providing support across a variety of payroll activities, compliance requirements and process improvement initiatives.

About the role:

- End-to-end processing of payroll in an accurate and timely manner.
- Reviewing and validating timesheets and payroll data.
- Maintaining employee records and payroll information.
- Interpreting Awards, Enterprise Agreements and relevant legislation.
- Responding to employee and manager payroll queries.
- Payroll reconciliations, reporting and compliance activities.




- Supporting payroll audits and legislative requirements
- Assisting with process improvement and system enhancement projects
- Building strong relationships with stakeholders across the business

About you:
To be successful in this role, you'll have:

- Previous payroll experience, ideally within a high-volume or fast-paced environment
- Previous experience in the mining or construction industry is highly advantageous
- Strong understanding of Australian payroll legislation
- Experience working with Awards and/or Enterprise Agreements
- Exposure to payroll and HRIS systems
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Intermediate Excel skills
- The ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
