About the Role

Waves of Ability is a growing NDIS provider delivering person centred, community based support across Sydney.

We are seeking experienced, high energy Support Workers who are confident working with participants with behaviours of concern and who enjoy an active, hands on role in the community.

Our participants are aged 6–30 years old and present with:

- Intellectual disabilities

- ASD (Level 2–3)

- ADHD, OCD, Anxiety

This role is ideal for someone who wants to move beyond standard support work and be part of engaging, experience based care.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide 1:1 community access support

- Transport participants to activities and appointments

- Support skill development and independence

- Assist with daily living tasks and meal preparation

- Deliver support during Short-Term Accommodation (STA) shifts (including 24-hour supports)

- Safely manage and respond to behaviours of concern in the community

Our Support Style (What You’ll Be Doing)

Our supports are community based and activity driven, including:

- Swimming, surfing, and water based activities

- Recreational venues (arcades, trampolining, bowling)

- Major events (Easter Show, Luna Park, concerts, snow trips)





This is an active role, you will be out in the community, not sitting in a house.

Essential Criteria

- Demonstrated experience with behaviours of concern

- Experience supporting individuals with ASD (Level 2–3)

- Experience working with children and/or vulnerable people

- Robust communication and problem solving skills

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Mandatory Requirements

- NDIS Worker Screening Check

- Working With Children Check (WWCC)

- Current Police Check

- First Aid & CPR Certificate

- Valid Australian Driver’s Licence

- Reliable vehicle with comprehensive insurance

- Completion of NDIS Worker Orientation Modules
