Casual Educator – Randwick OOSH

Eastern OOSH is a high-quality, well-resourced Outside School Hours Care provider operating at Randwick Public School, Double Bay Public School and Emanuel School. We provide Before School Care, After School Care, and Vacation Care programs for primary school-aged children.

We pride ourselves on having a supportive, experienced, and friendly team that delivers engaging, fun, and stimulating programs for children.

We are currently seeking enthusiastic Casual Educators to join our team at our Randwick OOSH service.

About the Role

We are looking for educators who are available for Before and After School Care shifts during the school term, as well as Vacation Care shifts during school holidays.

Shift times are offered between the below hours:

- Before School Care shifts: 7:15am – 9:45am (approximately 2–2.5 hours)

- After School Care shifts: 1:30pm – 6:15pm (approximately 2.75–4.5 hours)

- Vacation Care Shifts: 7:20am-6:00pm (approximately 3-8 hours)

Applicants must be available for a minimum of two afternoons per week.

Key Responsibilities

As an educator, you will:

- Supervise and engage with children in a safe and supportive environment

- Contribute to planning and implementing activities and experiences

- Assist with program reflections, evaluations, and documentation

- Work collaboratively as part of a team

- Build positive relationships with children,



families, and colleagues

To Be Successful in This Role, You Will:

- Enjoy working with children and actively engage in play and activities

- Be enthusiastic, reliable, and motivated

- Be able to work both independently and as part of a team

- Show initiative and a positive attitude

- Have some experience working with children (preferred)

- Be passionate about providing high-quality care for school-aged children

Requirements

- A valid Working With Children Check for paid work (WWCC)

- Availability for at least two afternoon shifts per week

- A current Secure Food Handling Certificate obtained through the NSW Food Authority Food Handler Basics Training: https://www.foodauthority.nsw.gov.au/training/food-handler-basics-training

- Foundations of Child Safety Training completed via the Geccko online learning platform: https://learning.education.gov.au/register
