This is an exciting opportunity to join the dynamic team at Thomas Paul Constructions QLD as an Assistant Production Estimator. In this full-time position based in Arundel, Queensland, you will play a crucial role in supporting the estimating function and contributing to the overall success of construction projects.
Key responsibilities
- Assisting with the preparation of detailed cost estimates for a variety of construction projects
- Gathering and analysing data from various sources to develop accurate take offs and cost breakdowns
- Collaborating with project managers, site supervisors, and subcontractors to ensure estimates are aligned with project requirements
- Maintaining detailed records and documentation throughout the estimating process
- Supporting the senior estimator with administrative tasks and other duties as required
- Negotiating rates with suppliers and canvasing for new contractors
- Managing the preparation and administration of contracts for trades, subcontractors, and suppliers
About you
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related field
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent attention to detail and a keen eye for accuracy
- Solid communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with stakeholders
- A proactive and collaborative approach to work, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
