About the role

We are seeking a fractional Group Chief Operating Officer – Shared Services & Transformation to design and stand up a group-wide operating function, drive a connected data and AI agenda across the businesses, and provide steady leadership through a critical finance leadership transition.

Key responsibilities

- Design and lead a group-wide shared services function spanning finance, legal and regulatory, marketing, and operations, creating consistent standards and efficient delivery across the portfolio

- Build a unified data layer across the businesses and the holding company, giving leadership group-wide visibility into performance, and enabling faster, better-informed decision-making

- Identify and lead agentic AI initiatives across the businesses to scale revenue and improve margin, embedding automation and AI-driven efficiency into core operations

- Support evaluation of current acquisition opportunities as the group grows through M&A;, including operational due diligence and integration planning

- Manage the transition of the outgoing Group CFO, ensuring continuity of financial operations, controls, and reporting during the handover period

About you

- Senior operator with prior COO, CFO, or equivalent group operations leadership experience, ideally across multi-entity or private equity–backed structures





- Track record of designing and implementing shared services functions across finance, legal, marketing, and operations

- Experience building data infrastructure or reporting layers that give leadership visibility across multiple business units

- Familiarity with AI/automation-driven transformation, with the ability to identify practical, revenue- and margin-generating use cases

- Comfortable supporting M&A; processes, including diligence and integration

- Strong financial and governance acumen

- Experience working within an IT, technology, or software services group
