The Role
The Videographer/Editor is responsible for capturing and crafting compelling video content that brings Brent Street's classes, performances, and culture to life across social media. This role covers everything from filming and directing on the ground through to editing, colour grading, and sound design — combining strong technical camera skills with a creative, musical eye for storytelling. Ideally suited to someone with a performing arts or moving media background, this role works closely with the Social Media & Content Manager to keep content fresh, dynamic, and in step with current trends.
Reports to: Social Media & Content Manager
Work Schedule: Tuesday to Saturday
(Tue, Wed, Thu): 11:00am – 7:30pm
(Fri, Sat): 8:30am – 5:00pm
Key Responsibilities
Filming & Production
· Film and direct video content across Brent Street classes, events, and productions using DSLR cameras and lenses.
· Operate gimbal and free-hand equipment confidently, including in dynamic, fast-moving shooting environments.
· Apply strong technical camera knowledge — ISO, shutter speed, aperture, frame rates, and recording formats — to achieve the right result for each shoot.
· Set up and manage lighting for both studio and on-location shoots.
· Capture photography content alongside video where required.
· Work collaborative in a team environment to execute content strategies effectively and align with larger Marketing objectives.
Editing & Post-Production
· Edit video content in Adobe Premiere Pro for a range of social media platforms and formats.
· Colour grade footage to a consistent,
polished, on-brand standard.
· Edit and mix sound to support strong, musically-aware storytelling.
· Resize and reformat content for different platforms and placements (e.g. vertical, square, widescreen).
Creative & Trends
· Bring a strong creative background and translate briefs into high-quality visual executions.
· Stay across recent trends in pop culture and social media to keep content current and engaging.
· Contribute original ideas for how stories and performances can be captured and told on screen.
Operational & Team Support
· Maintain strong organisation of footage, project files, and folders across a shared database.
· Manage multiple shoots, edits, and deadlines simultaneously in a fast-paced setting.
· Communicate professionally with the team via Outlook and Microsoft Office.
· Work flexibly across additional hours or days as business needs require.
· Work collaboratively with the Social Media & Content Manager and wider team to meet deadlines.
Key Attributes
· Demonstrated past experience as a videographer/camera operator.
· Ideally a background in performing arts or moving media.
· Experience creating content for social media and familiarity with upload/publishing workflows.
· Confident with DSLR cameras, lenses, and camera systems.
· Skilled in colour grading and sound editing.
· Strong admin skills, with the ability to keep footage and files well organised.
· Musicality and a strong sense of rhythm and pacing in editing.
· A demonstrated portfolio showing how concepts have been taken through to polished execution.
· Comfortable working at pace and juggling multiple priorities and deadlines.
