West End Support Services has proudly supported the Ballarat community since 2017, delivering personalised, high-quality supports that promote dignity, independence, and inclusion.
We are currently seeking passionate and reliable Disability Support Workers to join our team across our Supported Independent Living (SIL) and Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) services.
This position is for SLEEPOVER SHIFTS including every second weekend. You must have full availability for sleepovers to be considered. (please confirm your availability for sleepover shifts in your cover letter)
About the Role
In this rewarding role, you will support participants to live as independently as possible while ensuring their safety, wellbeing, and quality of life.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting participants with daily living and independent living skills
- Assisting with personal care (showering, dressing, toileting)
- Providing mealtime support and medication assistance
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date progress notes
- Overnight support (sleepovers) to ensure participant safety and wellbeing
About You
We are looking for individuals who are compassionate, motivated, and committed to making a difference.
You will bring:
- A genuine passion for supporting people with disability
- Flexibility, reliability, and strong organisational skills
- Availability to work across a rotating roster including both sleepover shifts and alternate weekend work.
- Confidence engaging with participants in a positive and meaningful way
- Strong communication skills and clear verbal expression
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Confidence using online systems and following procedures
- Willingness to participate in ongoing training
Essential Requirements:
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Current Driver’s Licence
- Current First Aid & CPR Certificate
- Availability to work across a rotating roster including both sleepover shifts and alternate weekend work.
- Valid Australian working rights
