Drill Fitter – Drill & Blast Operations

Full-Time FIFO | Excellent Salary | Drill & Blast Operations

We are seeking experienced Drill Fitters to join our team for a FIFO role (2 weeks on, 1 week off) on an exciting project. You’ll play a key role in maintaining and servicing drill rigs and ancillary equipment to ensure secure and efficient operations.

About the Role

As a Drill Fitter, you will work on Sandvik and Caterpillar drill rigs and associated equipment, performing maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting to keep operations running smoothly. This is a site-based position requiring strong technical skills and a commitment to safety, reporting to the Site Maintenance Supervisor

Key Responsibilities





- Service and maintain drill rigs and ancillary equipment

- Diagnose and repair mechanical issues

- Ensure compliance with safety standards and procedures

- Work collaboratively with site teams to minimize downtime

Qualifications

- Trade qualification as a Heavy Duty Fitter or equivalent

- Proven experience with drill rigs (Sandvik and Caterpillar preferred)

- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

- Commitment to safety and quality standards

- Air Conditioning License Highly Regarded, Cert II in Fire protection Highly Regarded

- Previous experience in drill & blast operations

- Ability to work FIFO on a 2:1 roster

Roster: 2 weeks on, 1 week off
