We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer to oversee a major Bulk Earthworks package delivering critical approach infrastructure for the North East Link Tunnels.
This role is responsible for driving daily production targets, optimising earthmoving fleet performance, and managing site-wide mass-haul logistics.

The Role
This role supports senior delivery teams currently in a critical phase of delivery.
Key responsibilities include:
- Manage the execution of bulk earthworks programs, ensuring all cut and fill operations align with technical specifications and geotechnical requirements.
- Coordinate the delivery of major road pavements, from sub-grade preparation through to final surfacing and asphalt works.
- Provide technical leadership and oversight for subcontractors to ensure production schedules and quality benchmarks are met.
- Review and approve work method statements and quality documentation specific to heavy civil work packages.
- Identify and resolve technical design or site-based challenges to minimise delays in project timelines.
- Perform financial administration for assigned packages, including cost tracking, variations, and monthly progress reporting.
- Interface with project stakeholders and relevant authorities to ensure compliance with road-opening permits and interface protocols.
What You'll Bring
- A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a recognised equivalent qualification.
- Demonstrated experience as a Senior Project Engineer on major road infrastructure projects within Victoria.
- Comprehensive understanding of VicRoads specifications and standards related to earthworks and pavement construction.
- Proven ability to manage large civil work packages within a Tier 1 project framework.
- Robust commercial acumen and experience managing project costs and variations.
- Valid Australian work rights and a current Construction Induction (White Card).
