As part of the eheadspace leadership team and working under the guidance of the eheadspace Services Manager, the eheadspace team leader is responsible for supervision and line management of eheadspace service providers. The Team Leader contributes to the strategic directives of eheadspace while maintaining responsibility for the coordination, management, and oversight of shift activities, working within a collaborative and team-based environment.

The Digital Mental Health Program - eheadspace provides online mental health and wellbeing support to young people and families across Australia, every day 3pm - 10pm, providing both clinical and peer work services in both 1-1 and group settings.

what you'll do
As the eheadspace team leader you will work with the eheadspace services manager, to lead the eheadspace service.
Working in this role, you will:
- Lead, inspire and develop a passionate and dedicated team of mental health clinicians and peer workers
- Support a nationally dispersed fully remote workforce to deliver safe, high-quality, and youth-centred digital mental health services
- Deliver direct services to young people or families in both 1-1 and group settings as required
- Drive workforce capability, facilitate reflective practice and supervision
- Support the integration of lived expertise and peer work practices across eheadspace
- Contribute to the achievement of eheadspace and Digital Mental Health Programs (DMHP) objectives through service development, quality improvement initiatives, and broader organisational projects and initiatives
- Build strong partnerships across eheadspace, headspace National and key stakeholders to advance strategic goals.
The roster for this role is 0.8 FTE working the following shifts:
Week 1:
- Tuesday 10am - 6pm
- Wednesday 1pm - 9pm
- Thursday 10am - 6pm
- Sunday 2:30pm - 10:30pm
Week 2:
- Tuesday 10am - 6pm
- Wednesday 10am - 6pm
- Thursday 10am - 6pm
- Sunday 2:30pm - 10:30pm
Working arrangements:
- Shift start and end times Melbourne Time
- Melbourne based Applicants- 1 day in office on Wednesday Week 2
- Other States - Travel to Melbourne required as directed
what you'll bring
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Approved tertiary qualification in an allied health discipline, including social work, psychology (clinical, counselling, and 4+2 or 5+1 pathway), mental health nursing, and occupational therapy, or a Master in Counselling (minimum Level 4, ACA), with at least seven years of post-qualification experience.
- Advanced level of clinical skills within (youth) mental health and demonstrated knowledge or experience with complex and evolving mental health presentations in young people.
- Highly experienced in providing clinical supervision and team leadership.
- Experience in performance management, supporting clinical staff and their professional development.
- Experience in contributing to service development and fostering a positive, cooperative team culture.
- Commitment to continuous learning, reflection and supervision.
- A broad understanding of the mental health service system in Australia, including the range of professionals that work within, or come into contact with, the mental health sector.
- Highly developed communication skills, both verbal and written, with an ability to interact with a diverse range of people, for example, young people, health professionals, academic researchers, service providers, etc.
- Ability to work in a highly productive environment with time pressures
- Ability and preparedness to integrate clinical practice with research and evaluation.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively and with a team focus.
- Advanced computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets and database applications.
- Confidential home office set up, including reliable internet connection
