The Role

Every successful logistics strategy starts with the right pricing decisions, solid market intelligence, and the ability to balance growth with profitability. As a National Sea Logistics Trade & Pricing Manager, you'll play a critical role in shaping the commercial direction of our Sea Logistics business, ensuring we maximise revenue opportunities while delivering sustainable growth.

You'll combine commercial expertise with market insight to drive pricing strategies, optimise yields, and support business development across the national organisation. From leading pricing initiatives and managing strategic tenders to collaborating with sales, trade management, and carrier partners, you'll help ensure Kuehne+Nagel remains competitive while maintaining strong profitability and market positioning.

Responsibilities

- Drive revenue growth: Develop and execute pricing and commercial strategies that maximise revenue, yield, and profitability while supporting national business objectives.

- Strengthen partnerships: Build and maintain strong relationships with carriers, trade management teams, sales stakeholders,



and Kuehne+Nagel network partners to support sustainable growth.

- Deliver solutions: Lead strategic pricing initiatives across trade lanes, customer portfolios, tenders, spot quotations, and Blue Anchor Line opportunities to deliver competitive and profitable solutions.

- Collaborate internally: Work closely with Sales, Key Account Management, Trade Management, Global Pricing, Procurement, and Sea Logistics leadership teams to ensure alignment on commercial priorities and growth strategies.

- Achieve business objectives: Monitor performance against agreed KPIs, drive margin improvement initiatives, and ensure adherence to global pricing strategies, systems, and processes.

- Market insight: Analyse market conditions, carrier developments, pricing trends, trade lane dynamics, and industry indexes to provide actionable recommendations and commercial guidance.

- Customer excellence: Support customer engagements, contract negotiations, tenders, and strategic pricing discussions while ensuring customers receive competitive and sustainable logistics solutions.

Requirements

- Strong experience in logistics, supply chain, or international freight forwarding, preferably within Sea Logistics.





- Good understanding of pricing strategy, revenue management, tender management, and commercial decision-making.

- Experience analysing market trends, trade lanes, carrier performance, and yield optimisation opportunities.

- Deep analytical and problem-solving capabilities with the ability to make data-driven decisions.

- Commercial acumen with a solid understanding of profitability, financial performance, and risk management.

- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

- Strong collaboration skills with the ability to influence across multiple functions and regions.

- Results-oriented with a strong commercial mindset.
