Tresillian is pleased to announce this opportunity for a motivated and experienced Registered Nurse and/or Registered Midwife with post graduate qualification in Child and Family Health, or transitioning to qualification in Child and Family Health Nursing, to join the Level 2 referral service through an innovative Mobile Van-based model of service delivery.

This position will be involved in the provision of quality child and family health services to families caring for children 0-3 years of age within a Tresillian service. This will be achieved by working within the Tresillian Model of Care, Practice Principles and Professional Practice Framework for Child and Family Health Nursing (CFHN). The CFH nurse/midwife will use a strength-based and wellness focus, building on parental confidence and skills through the provision of information, education, resources, guidance and role modelling safe responsive care. The child and family health nurse/midwife, utilising evidenced based screening and assessment tools, uses their family partnership skills to identify health variations or family vulnerabilities to negotiate individual care plans and discharge pathways to meet the goals of the family.

Key success factors for this role:

• Works in partnership in a child focused family centred evidence-based way

• Complies with policy

• Comprehensive accurate assessments and documentation of the dyad to inform care/discharge plans

• Meets the standard for informatics in information management

Selection Criteria – Applicants must address the Selection Criteria

- Current authority to practice as a Registered Nurse and/or a Registered Midwife with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)

- Postgraduate/post registration qualifications in Child and Family Health or commitment to complete.

- Understanding of, and commitment to, evidence-based practice.

- Demonstrated experience in attending to the physical,



social and emotional needs of children, and their families.

- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the principles of population health and primary health care.

- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the principles and skills of working in partnership and within a multidisciplinary team environment

- Demonstrate effective verbal and written communication and negotiation skills, including computer literacy that meets the National Informatics Standards for Nurses and Midwives.

- Current Drivers Licence.

Applicants may be eligible to receive a one-off payment of up to $10,000 (gross) (pro-rata) for eligible identified positions by Tresillian to cover immediate and direct costs associated with permanently relocating to our Launceston site.
